What plastic material I should use?
It depends on specific application. If you don’t have a material selected for your application, we can help and offer some guidance.
What drawing format I should send?
We accept most of the drawing formats. Below are the formats we prefer:
- 3D format: STP / IGS / SLDPRT / X_T
- 2D format: DWG / DWF / PDF
What software do you use?

What if I don’t have a drawing?
You can send us an actual sample, pictures with rough dimension, or even a sketch.
How can I be sure you will provide quality parts?
We have a strict quality control system, which includes incoming material to spot-checking on site, and sample test before shipment.
Remarks: you can also share your quality standard before placing an order.
Can I just order just 50 pieces for my mold?
Yes. Low volume is welcomed at Plastopia.
Who own the mold?
Of course. You do.
How fast response us? I am worried about the time difference.
The time difference is not big, as our flexible working time enables to communicate with you even late in China.
How many people do you have?
35 people. We’ve chosen to stay boutique and detail-oriented by a project, working with just a few clients at a time so that your project has our complete attention.
Do you have ISO 9001?
Unfortunately no for the moment, but we have a good system of quality control.
NDA
We would be happy to sign an NDA to protect your rights. If you need an NDA sample, feel free to contact us.
Are you manufacturer or representing the manufacturer?
Both. For injection molding, we are the manufacturer; for other processes, we are representing the manufacturers.
What makes you special?
We are one of the few companies who can provide a multi-molding solution, which includes plastic injection molding, blow molding, silicone molding, extrusion, and vacuum forming.
In the mean time, we are a comprehensive molding provider: from tooling to secondary operation and assembly. You don’t have to manage many suppliers in China.

What do you need for a quote?
For a quote, we would need:
- Your part drawing. It could be 3d or 2d
- Plastic material
- Part color
- Your quantity requests, per order per year
- Mold life request
- Surface finish request if available
How much time do you need for a quote?
Three days or less depending specific project. Most of time, it takes 1 day or two.
What is T1 Time for the molds?
T1 time as know as First shot time or Trial time, it refers to the time from mold steel ordering to first mold testing.
Note: T1 time doesn’t include time for preparing or discussing DFM reports.
What is the mold life?
Mold life refers to the total part pieces of the mold can produce.
Note: this doesn’t mean how many years the molds can be kept. With proper maintain, the molds would be kept “life-time”.
Mold standard?
We work 3 mold standards.
- For local molds, we use Chinese local, which saves much cost.
- For export molds, we use DME, Hasco equivalents or standard to your specification.
Is that possible to have a lower mold price?
Yes. We have a unique way to make your mold affordable. Please let us know your target price when sending your enquiry.
Quotation valid?
Our quote is valid for a month. If it is expired, please double check the pricing with us.
Meanwhile, prices may fluctuate as material cost or human cost rise.
Order
What payment do you accept? Can you accept Credit card?
We accept T/T (Telegraphic Transfer) or the Western Union.
Unfortunately, we don’t accept credit card for the moment, but you can pay by credit card through the Western Union.
What is your trade terms?
- Payment Terms: Molds: T/T, 50% Deposit, 40% after T1, 10% upon final samples approved.
- Mass Production: T/T 50% Deposit; 50% before shipment.
Can I have refund after ordering?
Yes, but only before ordering mold steels.
Can you help ship the parts, we don’t have a courier account?
Yes. we have shipping forwarder with good price. We can help to ship from express delivery to air or ocean freight. Door-to-door service is available as well.
How can I follow up my order?
We will update you a report of tooling progress each week.
Can I ask modification if not satisfied with the T1 samples?
Yes, you can.
- For minor changes, it is free of charge.
- For big changes like part structure, we will have to ask the extra cost.
Can I change the part color after molding?
Yes, you can. But you will have to pay extra cost for the new mold trial.
Is the pricing will be the same for future orders?
Pricing will fluctuate as material cost and human cost. You can double check with us before placing a new order
