Weld Lines
Weld lines are also known as “stitch lines” or “knit lines”.
These are imperfections in the part where separated flows of cooling material meet and rejoin, often resulting in a visible line.

!NOTE: ABS is the most common resin to be prone to knit lines. Good part design and a well designed mold, knit lines can often be significantly reduced, but not removed completely
In our DFM report, we will analyze the possible weld lines. You will have to confirm them before tooling. Below is one of the examples:
!NOTE: if the weld lines is important to the cosmetic surface of your part, please bring this up to your mold maker during quoting phase. It will effect mold cost and mold solution.
